The buyer (acceptor)

In older documents, an acquirer, especially the buyer on the stock exchange; – In franchise contracts, the partner who acts in his own name and on his own account. – In corruption offenses, the party who receives money or other benefits for himself or a third party. In the banking sector, according to statistics of cases uncovered in 2010, this was the case in roughly equal measure for clerks and executives. – The drawee, namely the person or company to whom payment is to be made according to the drawer: the payee, remittee (one who accepts a draft or a bill of exchange; a drawee after he has accepted).
