Estimated value (appraised value)

In the financial market, the approximate assessment of a market price, usually – by inspection (especially in the case of tangible assets), – survey (as in a roadshow), – comparison with similar prices of the same type (price comparisons; especially on the stock exchange in the case of a security for which there are currently no buy or sell orders), – experience (empirical knowledge) or – statistical and mathematical methods. – See mark-to-model approach, tally sheet, tax rate.
