Term used in U.S. regulatory law. – In connection with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLB Act) of 2000, a bank holding company (BHC) must demonstrate a certain level of risk management, the details of which are prescribed in great detail. – A foreign bank is considered well-capitalized under U.S. regulatory law if its home supervisor has established certain requirements. – See also CAMELS, Community Reinvestment Act, Gutgeführt, Holding Company.
