Services in older documents also perfunctions (services)
Action performed by a natural or legal person to a customer or an object of the customer in return for appropriate remuneration. – In contrast to its performance in kind, a service is not storable and transferable. The production and consumption usually coincide in time (uno-actu principle; Uno-actu principle). In principle, services are not tangible; however, they may contain tangible components, such as a carrier medium on which the result of the service is transmitted. The nature of the service is referred to as service quality. – In German-language statistics, “goods” is the generic term, and “merchandise” and “services” are the respective subordinate terms. It is therefore logically incorrect to speak of “goods and services”, as is repeatedly done (and by whom!). – See banking services, services, non-market, services inflation, financial services, good, public, goods, securities ancillary services. – Cf.
