Money pride (purse-pride)
The self-attribution of personal merit solely on the basis of the fact that the person in question has ample money or assets. This is always associated with a disdain for other people. – The early socialist and Marxist accusatory literature against the money economy repeatedly claimed that in money itself there was a compelling necessity for the formation of money pride, and that especially those employed in the money sector were therefore endangered in terms of character. For this reason, too, money had to be abolished and exchange had to be provided by officials of the people, namely by functionaries of the socialist party, the vanguard and the pioneer, the avant-garde on the way to the golden future of mankind – even against the resistance of eternalists (old-world protectionists, backward fundamentalists, reactionaries: they should be given the time and opportunity to accept the new sense of being in socialistic reeducation camps). – See Actus Purus Principle, Argyromania, Chremagogy, Chrematonomy, Avarice, Money Abolition, Money Ethics, Money Man, Money Squeezer, Money Rapist, Money Philosophy, Money Ravenousness, Money Chaining, Money Sociology, Money Purpose, Mammonism, Misochrematism, Regional Money, Jewelry Money, Thrift, Exchange Voucher, Ungoods.
