Dual currency bond (alternative redemption bond)
The payment of the purchasers of the bond and the ongoing interest payments of the issuer are made in a different currency than the subsequent repayment of the bond amount at maturity (a bond using one currency for the repayment of the principal, and another for the payment of the interests). – The repayment of a bond at maturity is alternatively guaranteed in two currencies with an unrestricted, free choice between these two currencies. – See bond, currency selectable, denomination, issue, indexed, multi-currency clause, reference currency, value clause.
