Credit rating [mark]
Unless otherwise defined, the assignment to a credit rating category made by a rating agency. A credit rating merely measures the probability of default. However, it should not be confused with a price or value guarantee, as is often the case. – See creditworthiness, credit rating class, credit risk, product registration, rating, rating agency.
