Cook money (cooking money; cooking expenses compensation)
Formerly used to pay the cook appointed for special occasions, such as baptisms, weddings, funeral receptions, or anniversaries. In home economics schools and courses, this is still used today to pay for the consumption of food and material costs in the test kitchen (experimental kitchen).
