The capital stock of a country or economic area, calculated according to certain accounting rules; also referred to as capital assets. – The entirety of the tangible, usable operating resources (equipment, production facilities: plant, machinery, equipment, transport facilities, buildings) in a company. – See intangibles, investment, risk, performance, tangible assets, wealth. – Cf.
