Savings premium bond (lottery loan; premium bonds)

Bond whose redemption is effected by an annual draw. In Germany, such a bond was first issued in 1919 in the amount of 5 billion marks. However, demand for these securities, developed by the talented mathematician Felix Bernstein (1878-1956), remained very low. – See baby bonds, lot bond.
