The primary-school enrolment count records the number of pupils registered at primary level, without limiting the measure to a specific age group. Its coverage and compilation are not standardised internationally: each country determines the boundaries of primary education, the statistical method and any related reporting objectives. Comparisons between countries may consequently reflect differences in national practice. The indicator is drawn from data compiled by the Global Partnership for Education.
