Financial system, bank-orientated (bank-orientated financial system)
Financing and investment are primarily carried out with the involvement of banks. They play a decisive role in allocating loans to individual firms and industries. Asymmetric information between bank and borrower remains minimal; in the case of a house-bank relationship, even minimal. In Germany, a bank-oriented system prevails. – See financial system, capital market-oriented.
