Auditability

Term used in supervisory law; it must be possible to determine whether business transactions – are functioning properly now and – can be assessed as having been carried out properly afterwards. For a bank, this requires appropriate documentation: papers or digital storage media that provide applicable information. The main purpose of the requirement for traceability is to identify and eliminate operational weak points (vulnerabilities) at an early stage. – See Monitoring.
