In the field of business, generally the establishment of business contacts via social relationships (to form business contacts through informal social connections); this usually also includes the deliberate and regular cultivation of these contacts. – In terms of finding and retaining customers of a bank or an insurance company, the use of friendships and acquaintances to refer to the services of the institution. – See relationship banking, clubbing, network money.
