Transaction monitoring
In the case of banks, this is usually part of the internal audit department or compliance department and is dedicated to the retrospective review of transactions in general and advisory services (investment consulting) in particular. The aim is not only to detect anomalies. Experience has shown that the reports also provide a valuable source for staff training. – See After Action Review, outliers, steam room, super review, sales pressure. – See BaFin Annual Report 2004, p. 123, BaFin Annual Report 2009, p. 166 f. (different weight of transaction monitoring at individual institutions).
