Transaction cost slippage

The difference between the estimated expenses in the course of an engagement and the payments actually incurred at the end of the transaction (the difference between estimated transaction costs and final transaction costs). Particularly in the case of assets traded on the stock exchange at the daily price, this can result in an amount that is above or below the budgeted amount.
