Third spouse payment

Unless otherwise defined, payments by social welfare authorities and health insurance funds in Germany to the third wife of a man living in Germany, insofar as marriage to three wives at the same time is permitted in his home country. According to supreme judicial decision, there is a legal entitlement to these benefits even if these wives live in the claimant’s distant home country. – See second spouse benefit.
