Stock approach (also referred to in German)

Procedure used in the course of liquidity management. A minimum level of liquid assets is prescribed internally (within the company), usually in relation to current liabilities. – See liquidity crisis plan, liquidity management, value at risk, solvency, stress test. – Cf. Deutsche Bundesbank Monthly Report of September 2008, p. 65 (classified there as a “simple procedure”).
