Sprint certificate also known as a bandwidth certificate (runner certificate, speeder certificate)

Certificate that offers the investor an increased chance of profit in relation to the reference base within a certain price band with the highest price up and the base price down. The contracts usually have a term of twelve to fifteen months. They are particularly suitable for investors who expect prices to rise in relation to the reference base and wish to earn a disproportionate amount from this – i.e. with a correspondingly high participation factor. – Below the band, the sprint certificate behaves like the underlying itself. – The investor does not participate in a flight to the top above the band, because a cap acts as a limit here. – If the underlying asset is quoted below the threshold price on the maturity date, payment is made at the agreed base price. – Within the bandwidth, profits are multiplied by the agreed participation factor. – If the market price of the reference base rises above the maximum price, then the investor receives only the maximum price paid out on the maturity date. – There are also many variants of this type of certificate. Sprint-plus certificates are contracts that guarantee the receipt of the capital invested on the maturity date.
