Securitized lending operation, SLO (also mostly used in German; more rarely, secured pledging of securities)

Transaction in which assets in general and securities in the narrower sense are transferred as collateral for a loan. In contrast to a repo transaction, however, no change of ownership takes place here. – Cf.
