Safe Custody Act

In Germany, the legal basis for the safekeeping and administration of securities. The Act serves to protect security owners who deposit their securities or have them managed electronically. The provisions of the Custody Act also apply to debt register claims. – See aberdepot, dematerialization, custodial business, custodial risk, custodial misappropriation, street name, depository, central securities depository, intermediate securities depository. – Cf.
