Postcard check (cheque printed on a postcard)
A form of check that used to be widespread in Germany as well, which – printed on a postcard and – was in principle only cashable at the bank of the precisely designated payee. – The postcard check should not be confused with the postal check, namely a check payable to a post office check office (later: Postgirobank, then Postbank). – See money order, postal order.
