Portfolio, optimal (optimal portfolio)

Found in many brochures and even in widely used textbooks, but (intentionally?) unclear, veiled label. The word “optimal” is the third form (superlative) of “good”. But this says nothing about the reference: best in terms of – safety? – the profit? – the tax treatment? – other characteristics of the investment? – It is also nonsensical to speak of an “optimal” investment, although this is not infrequently done. Because here the superlative is expressed twice: once in Latin (optimal) and secondly in German (by the ending “-st”). – See portfolio, economic, tenfold, polygon, magic.
