Option writer
In a futures contract, the party who undertakes to buy in the case of a put option or to sell in the case of a call option (the seller of either a call or put option; the option writer receives payment, called a premium, and is obligated to buy or sell the underlying asset at a specified price, within a certain period of time). – See exercise, call, option, premium, put, option writer.
