One-vote principle (one member-one vote-rule)

In the case of the Governing Council, the fact that the vote of each participant carries equal weight, i.e. without regard to the weight of the respective economy. A national central bank that wants to exert influence must put forward the best arguments; in such bodies, the only way to convince is through a high level of expertise. In the Governing Council of the ECB, it is important that the president of the respective national central bank is excellently prepared by his house for the Council meetings. – See Becket effect, ECB minutes, publication, dispute over seating arrangements, Southern front.
