Official market

Segment of German stock exchanges precisely defined in the Exchange Rules; until 2002 called official trade; see Sections 29 ff. Stock Exchange Act. Securities traded on the official market must comply in all respects with the requirements of the European Securities Services Directive. In addition, a prospectus approved by the supervisory authority must be published upon listing. – On November 1, 2007, the previously existing division of organized admission segments into the official market and regulated market was abolished. – See market, regulated – See listing prospectus.
