Limit (also used in German)

In financial language, it always means a restriction, a cap, a barrier, especially in the sense of – a maximum price (peak price), – a price ceiling (upper limit), – an agreed price limit (ceiling) when buying or selling on the stock exchange, – a barrier when taking a risk (risk limit), or – a maximum threshold for government debt. – See cap, price fluctuation limit, limit, limits, variable, safety barrier, tick, debt limit.
