Latvia (Lativa)
At the beginning of the year, Latvia became the 18th member to join the euro area. Because Latvia’s population of about 2 million was small compared with the more than 333 million people living in the euro area at the time, Latvia’s entry into the currency area was expected to have only insignificant macroeconomic effects on the euro area. – See EU financial assistance. – See ECB Monthly Bulletin of January 2014, pp. 19 ff (general information on Latvia’s accession; detailed statistics), ECB Monthly Bulletin of February 2014, pp. 23 ff (impact on euro area statistics of Latvia’s accession; overviews):

Pada awal tahun Latvia menjadi anggota ke-18 kawasan euro. Karena populasinya kecil pada saat itu, sekitar 2 juta, dibandingkan dengan lebih dari 333 juta di kawasan euro, masuknya Latvia ke dalam area mata uang diharapkan hanya memiliki perubahan makroekonomi yang tidak signifikan untuk kawasan euro. – Lihat bantuan keuangan UE. – Lihat Buletin Bulanan ECB bulan Januari 2014, hal. 19 dst (informasi umum mengenai aksesi Latvia; statistik rinci), Buletin Bulanan ECB bulan Februari 2014, hal. 23 dst (dampak aksesi Latvia terhadap statistik kawasan euro; ikhtisar):
