Labor force
Total number of employed and unemployed persons; reported for the euro area in the respective ECB Monthly Bulletin, annex “Euro area statistics”, heading “Prices, output, demand and labor markets” and observed under the two-pillar principle. – This figure is very often (and by whom!) misunderstood, and then only employed persons are included. – See labor costs, compensation per capita, unemployment rate, fringe benefits, wage costs, minimum wage unemployment, potential growth. – Cf. Deutsche Bundesbank Monthly Report of April 2012, p. 23 (projection of labor supply in Germany until 2020).
