Journalization
A term frequently used in older financial language meaning – to keep the accounts à jour; up-to-date; – at the bank – and generally at a company – to enter incoming and outgoing documents in a diary (journal; journal). Recently sometimes also said – of daily reporting obligations of institutions and funds to the supervisory authority in times of financial crisis.
