Futures fund (commodity pool)
A capital management company that sets up and manages a fund of futures contracts, investing client money either in contracts on commodities (commodities), financial products (financials), or both, depending on the focus of the fund. – Specifically, in commodity futures exchanges, a fund into which several, usually like-minded – such as grain mills, yogurt manufacturers – investors each contribute amounts to trade futures (any investment trust, syndicate, or similar form of enterprise run for the purpose of trading in commodity for future delivery). – See hedging, absorption phase, financialization, futures markets, commodity futures contract, futures exchange, futures contract.
