Floor exchange (parquet stock exchange, open outcry system)
Trading in securities or commodities takes place in an exchange hall (floor trading). Contracts are concluded between traders and brokers by shouting or hand signals. This is why it is sometimes referred to as the Zuruf system or criée trading (open outcry: the trading manner by which competing market makers and floor brokers representing public orders make bids and offers on the trading floor). – See acataphasia, stock exchange, stock market, electronic, Eurex, trading platform, home banking, mobile banking, floor trading.
