Regulation introduced in health insurance in 2013. According to this, insured persons who do not meet their obligation to pay premiums even after a legally defined reminder procedure are transferred to a special tariff category. Only for the treatment of acute illnesses and pain conditions, as well as pregnancy and maternity, does the insurance company have to cover this. – Cf. 2013 BaFin Annual Report, p 149 f.
