ECB new building

A new building complex planned in the Ostend district of Frankfurt am Main from 1998 to meet the requirements of the European Central Bank. By purchasing the land, the ECB undertook to preserve the Grossmarkthalle, a listed building located there. The result was a special blend of old and new. On November 3, 2014, the first wave of relocations to the new buildings, which have since been completed, took place. – Cf. ECB Annual Report 2008, p. 229 f.
