Credits granted by power suppliers
Loans granted by producers and/or distributors of electricity and gas, as well as wind power operators, to customers to enable them to procure the necessary technical equipment, such as heating systems and connections to district heating systems in residential buildings. Until now, such transactions have been exempt from supervision upon application, provided that they are minor auxiliary or ancillary transactions. However, an application for exemption must be submitted to the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority. – Cf. BaFin Annual Report 2005, p. 188 (exemption from supervision of utilities granting earmarked loans).
