Credit climate and credit situation

A term used in financial journalism to refer to either – a central bank’s policy of restricting or increasing the money supply or – the business policy of institutions to grant loans more or less willingly given the central bank’s policy. – See credit constraint merry-go-round, credit crunch, loss-loan relationship.
