Conversion premium also known as premium on interest conversion

A payment generally granted by the issuer of a security to holders of the security who – do not exercise the conversion option and – in the case of bonds in particular, consent to the reduction of interest without calling the bond and demanding redemption. – See conversion bond, call option.
