Means that directly satisfy human needs. They do this either once, such as food, in which case they are referred to as consumables, or several times, such as clothing, furniture, cars or household appliances, in which case they are referred to as nonconsumables or consumer durables. – Monetary policy has little influence on the demand for consumer goods.
