Consultation process, multilateral (multilateral consultation on global imbalances)

A body set up by the International Monetary Fund in 2007 to discuss measures to address global economic imbalances. For the time being, issues such as greater exchange rate flexibility in various countries in Asia – and China in particular – and the use of oil revenues by oil-exporting countries are on the agenda. – See Committee Delusion.
