Collateralized Loan Obligations, CLOs (also referred to in German)

Unless otherwise defined, this refers to collateralized debt obligations in which the pool of receivables from loans is related to leveraged corporate acquisitions. The risks in all tranches are generally higher here than in the case of ordinary collateralized debt obligations. – See Collateralized bond obligations, Mergers and acquisitions, Securitization. – Cf. ECB Monthly Bulletin, February 2008, pp. 92 f. (explanations; overviews).
