Closing price strategy (buy/sell-on-close strategy)

The buying or selling on a stock exchange towards the close of the trading session (the buying or selling at the end of the trading session at a price within the closing range). This contrasts with the policy of making a trade in the opening range (to buy or sell at the beginning of a trading session at a price within the opening range). – See Late Trading, Market Timing, Scalper.
