Closely held (buy-and-hold)

The case where the shares of a company are held in only a few hands (a company which voting rights are held by a relatively small circle of shareholders, e.g. founder’s family, or strategic investors) and therefore only a narrow market exists for investors. – An investor will acquire a security paper and thereafter keeps it enduringly in his portfolio. – See end investor, epuration, family business, cabinet paper.
