Bob (bob; no plural)

Popular term in English-speaking countries for – money in general and – in particular a GBP or a USD, as well as for the corresponding basic unit of currency in other English-speaking countries (bob commonly nowadays means money in a general sense, for example, “it costs a few bob,” which is usually a sarcastic allusion to quite a lot of money, or a pound, a dollar or the analoguos monetary unit in other regions of the world).
