Credit industry associations sometimes offer assistance in the search for unknown accounts of decedents or persons in their care. However, the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) cannot require such assistance, although it could locate all account holders in the course of account disclosure. – See Account Disclosure. – Cf. 2005 Annual Report of BaFin, p. 195.
