The transfer of cash to juveniles not yet in gainful employment by parents and relatives (spending money; slush money). – According to § 46 StVollzG-NRW, the prison pays out an appropriate sum of money to unemployed prisoners who do not have any money of their own to purchase personal items. – Colloquially also in the meaning of a small sum, often with the secondary meaning that this payment is perceived as too low and one is “fobbed off” (fobbed) with the amount. – Colloquially also said for bribe money in the sense of bribe payment. – See secret money, money consciousness, house money, peculium, rebate, bridge money, gratuity, custodial.
