Bar chart
Graphical representation of daily price movements on the stock exchange. – As a rule, a vertical bar is drawn in the chart at the corresponding price level for each trading day; the length of the bar corresponds to the daily price fluctuations (price highs and lows). A short horizontal line, attached to the left side of the bar, indicates the opening price, on the right side the closing price. After some time of trading, a certain pattern emerges in the graph. Some analysts (technicians) believe they can evaluate this for price predictions. – See analysis, technical, charts, histogram, mapping, price range, traded, outside day, random walk hypothesis.
