Employee register and also employee and complaints register (employee directory)

Since the beginning of 2012, all securities services companies have been required to record sales employees in a database to be forwarded to BaFin on the basis of the provisions that came into force and supplemented the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) by the WpHG Employee Notification Ordinance (WpHGMaAnzV) and the Investor Protection and Function Improvement Act (AnSFuG). The supervisory authority may conduct an examination of the expertise and reliability of the respective employee. The register must also contain, among other things, information about any complaints received about the employee from customers. This allows BaFin to quickly detect any anomalies.
