Monitoring (also used in German, but with different meanings)

In the financial market in general, the planned, targeted monitoring of a transaction (the act of painstaking surveillance of a transaction). – In particular, all measures to detect illegal payment flows and financial transactions, including retail payment transactions, by using appropriate technical means. According to Section 25a of the German Banking Act (KWG), this payment transaction monitoring is mandatory for financial service providers in Germany. – See watch list, misstatement, account screening, traceability. – Cf.
