Frontloading (also used in German, but with different meanings)
The frontloading of reserve requirements by banks when the overnight rate falls below the interest rate on the main refinancing operation. – The frontloading of euro cash to credit institutions as well as the onward transfer by banks to certain target groups such as cash transportation service providers or vending machine operators (then called subfrontloading) even before the introduction of euro cash on January 1, 2002. – See arbitrage, intertemporal, cash union, money roll, minimum reserve.
