Day price and day rate (current market value)

Unless otherwise defined, this refers to the market value of an asset at a given point in time. In the case of some listed goods, the price may fluctuate widely within a day. Therefore, the exact time must be specified in more detail (with exact time of day) in corresponding contracts. If this is not done, the price before the end of trading hours (closing exchange price) is usually used for listed, quoted items. – See price at inception, fair value, closing price, transaction cost variance.
